"My army was comprised of women." She said raising a hand to let him know it was alright. "When we'd be out in the field, we'd sometimes swim, but it was not something I did with other people. It was more of a reprieve from battle than something I did leisurely at the capital." The thought of swimming had been nice, but she hadn't really fully thought of how it would feel in comparison to how it had been done before. They would all hop off rocks into the water below, splash about and blow off some steam. Relax and float, but it wasn't something she'd engaged in regularly.
Taking a few steps back, she dropped the cover onto the floor and got a good running head start. Jumping right in, she most likely splashed her companion. Instead of surfacing immediately, she let herself sink, acclimating to the temperature and just taking in the feeling of the water around her. There were different sounds than rivers and lakes, and the water had a strange smell to it, but if other people swam in it, she was sure it was fine. There wasn't any fear of wildlife or insects, so that was a plus.
When she finally surfaced, she took in a deep breath. "It's not so bad when you're in it."
