Poe hadn't said all that much. He didn't need to. Those few words were enough.
Armitage didn't understand how it worked, but he did know that it could happen; that people could leave the hotel and return with different memories. For a moment or two, he didn't speak, simply letting that truth sink in.
There wasn't anything that could have occurred in any given timeframe that would have come as a shock to Poe. Armitage had told him everything that had happened (that he knew of, at least), so he likely didn't uncover any unsavory secrets. The ginger was far more rattled over the fact that Poe had departed back to their world for a short time. He had physically left them. And there was a chance that they really could have lost Poe for good.
All the same, Armitage was grateful that Poe remembered him at all. The pilot had, thankfully, returned to the hotel with his previous memories. Again, presumably. Otherwise, Poe wouldn't have made a beeline for his room.
He reached out, taking Poe's hand. They were still near the entryway and Armitage had no intention of holding this conversation while loitering near the door. Instead, he'd guide them over to the bed - their bed - gently tugging him down onto the mattress in order to get more comfortable. "Tell me what you mean by that: a bit. What all did you.. live through? What's the last thing you remember before coming back here?"
