"We can agree to disagree since you are obviously the one who's wrong," he said, laughing. "Oh wow, Pyro is cold-hearted, how the scales have turned! I didn't tell you, we have a new Pyro on the team. He's gay and hot... and I might have had a one-night stand right before coming here." He had said that he wouldn't tell Pyro, but it was too good to pass up.
Bobby finished his drink and poured himself another glass. "I'm not disagreeing with you." He knew it might come as a shock to John, considering all of the fights between the X-Men and the Brotherhood, but even inside the X-Men, they all had raised doubts at different times. Only the Professor had unwavering faith in humans. "Behind that distrust, there are always powerful people who use it to stay in power."
He snorted. "Paradise is overrated. Pretty sure I'd get bored with angels singing and nothing to do."
He grinned. "You know you want to be my best mate. Who else can keep up with you in this place? You'll get lazy and sloppy and really it'd be a tragedy if that happened instead you have me. And as I said, if we end up working together, we might as well start now becoming BFFs." He filed away the news about Natasha. He'd have to learn a bit more before contacting her. In fact, he might just use the next few days to figure out who was who.
