"Not decent booze." John countered. Of course, coming from Australia where the country bred real men, he shouldn't judge his icy cold compatriot. "Easily." John commented making a face at the display of abilities.
With a dismissive wave of his hand, he knew what Bobby was talking about right up until the not being able to die. Everyone joked about immortality and how great it would be, but Drake honestly hit it on the head. "That's no way to live." It honestly sounded miserable considering how you got to watch those just die around you. John made dismissive sound. "Don't worry. I'll kill ya when the time is right." And he left it at that. Both a promise and casual threat.
John shook his head. "Not even a little. Legacy was brutal. The way it attacks your body," John shook his head. "I agree, I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy." He looked at Bobby. "Well, maybe you, but you're special." But of course he was kidding. Legacy was a scourge on the Mutant community.
"Yeah. The gi- woman has some fire under her." John commented. She was so much different compared to when he remembered her. Grown up and a strong woman. "Look, people get to wrapped up in the 'you shoulda told me' when it wasn't any of their business." John pointed at Bobby. "What you wanna do with who ain't anybody's business but yours and whatever swinging D you're doing it with." John ultimately shrugged. "Who gives a fuck."
"Oh. Use it daily, try to surpass my limits. Stay in shape. Whatever." John of course used it a lot in New York and that was a good workout for his prowess. But back to light duty in the hotel.
