Thor hadn't been able to experience any of that upheaval. Instead, he'd been dead weight, a burden on Diana and others, dragging them down both figuratively and literally. Part of him felt very, very bad about that, but he knew it couldn't have been helped and that he'd given his life to protect someone he cared about. Now that his life had been given back to him, though, Thor had no intention of wasting any of it. And with how this felt, this moment, this reaction from Diana to his return, something told Thor he would be in good company to make the most of that life for a long time.
They weren't eternal, or rather, he wasn't. He would die again someday, whether in battle or from old age, but whether Diana would remained to be seen. They were starting down a new road and would follow the path together, though, unless Diana's obliviousness was making Thor think things he shouldn't have been. When she finally pulled away, he stayed where he was for a moment before he went to sit next to her on the bed, his hand patting hers.
"You did what you thought was right. That's all anyone could ask. And Diana, I promise you my friends will applaud your efforts. They would have wanted to know, I think."
