Clarke couldn't help smile back at Octane. His smile was wide and contagious. Same with his energy. Right now, that's exactly what she needed. It seemed, from what he said about 'Earth liquors' that he might not be from Earth either. Clarke was human, or well, sort of, she was a nightblood now, but still mostly human, but she had been born in space.
Resting her elbow on the bar, Clarke rested her chin against her hand and watched Octane with amusement as he spouted out ideas for drinks. The names were full of sexual innuendo and after everything she'd been through lately, Clarke was so here for that. Some mindless fun. Something to help her forget. Alcohol tended to do that. Sex did too. But right now, alcohol was priority.
Clarke let out a soft chuckle at his comment regarding how they weren't allowed to give up and stop fighting. If anyone knew that, she did. It was the fucking story of her life. No matter what the hell she'd been through, she had to keep going, keep fighting. Even when she didn't feel like she could do it anymore. She always had. For her people.
Octane putting the drink in front of her shook Clarke out of her thoughts again and she looked up at him with a smirk, shaking her head at the name of the drink.
"Interesting name." Clarke said, pulling the glass closer and studying it for a moment. "Let's see how it is, then." Tipping it to her lips, Clarke took a large swallow of it and lifted her brows, obviously impressed. "Huh. It's really good. Look at you. Guess you know more about Earth drinks than you thought you did."
