"It does seem that way," He agreed, and if it wasn't one of the giants they'd each taken down there seemed to be other threats out there. Like this place was filled with nothing but things that wished them all dead. It was strange to think of a world like that, what was the purpose of it? Surely this couldn't be natural, this was a city, like Metropolis - there should be people living here, but instead there were these threats. And it wasn't as if the streets were filled with carnage the way he might have expected it to be if this was some sort of invasion. There had been no fight here other than what they had been doing. He couldn't understand it.
Clark nodded when she agreed to his suggestion of working together. It wasn't ideal, but he felt better knowing that at least he could help to keep her safe while she was out here. "I haven't been all that good at reaching out to people either." He explained, he understood the part of a person that was more comfortable in the familiar without extending an invitation to get to know everyone around them.
"I was born on Krypton," Clark told her, not seeing any reason to hide what he was from her - it was already more than obvious he had powers. "But I came here to the hotel from Earth." He explained. "I was raised there. Where are you from?" He asked her, curious, feeling almost certain that she was also not of Earth as she'd put it.
