When the call had gone out for the patrol and Clark started hearing about people being killed he'd been drawn into the city, donning his cape and suit for the first time since his arrival and leaving the safety of the hotel to hopefully keep safe others who were venturing out, some unknowingly and others simply because they liked the thrill of it perhaps? But Clark couldn't be everywhere, and each time he went out he found himself coming up against old nemesis in some cases and in others there were creatures and things he'd never seen before. Today he'd found some giant lumbering creature making its way through the streets, it looked almost like a man but when he tried speaking with it - attempting reason, the thing had not responded other than to try and reach out and grab for him. Clark had pushed the creature from the park, moving it further from the hotel just to be certain that none of his fellow residents came to any sort of harm as best he could. Each new message that they'd lost someone else cut at him and Clark did not want to hear that they'd lost anyone else. So he'd keep on fighting until this place either was empty of the threat or they were gone from her and back in the more familiar space the hotel normally settled. Some of the other residents had said how to best fend off these things and so it was with a well placed punch that Clark put it down, the creature sent toppling as he watched the body begin to disintegrate rapidly as if now lifeless there was no need for it to be there any longer. Clark wondered if it was the way of them or just the way of this place that had it disappearing the way it did. He'd hovered there for a moment watching the creature melting away when his attention was drawn to another battle, one of the hotel residents and her own foe and Clark flew to join her just as she'd won the battle leaving him without much reason for being there and yet he wasn't in a hurry to leave her on her own no matter how well she'd done on her own. "Are you okay?" He asked her, "Do you need to get back to the Hotel?" he asked her, ready and willing to help her in that, as much as he'd have liked to keep everyone locked inside the hotel Clark knew full well just how that would go over if he tried enforcing it. So he wasn't going to start forcing anyone to do anything, much as he wanted to. |
