Ben was watching the streets but he was also watching Finn. He knew how the other man felt about Rey. How protective he was. It was understandable that he'd be upset. Even angry. Telling Rey about her parents was a sore enough subject already. Adding into all of it that he had kept this from her since he had come to the hotel was like a slap to the face. Even if he'd had the best intentions, it didn't matter. He'd still kept her family a secret.
His head tilted back and he glanced up into the open sky. Ari was flying above them, as high as she could go. She didn't take to staying on his shoulder much these days and avoided being around too many people at once. At one point, she was almost a dot in the sky. But Ben knew where she was. Keeping his eyes on her was a good distraction.
Finn spoke up again. Ben dropped his gaze and looked over the other man's face before facing ahead, watching Anakin and Padme walk ahead. "I didn't know if she would believe me when I first came here." He winced at his own weak words. "I wanted her to like me."
