"In a way," Erwin's deep voice echoed a little as he touched down, "I'm glad it is only us here. As much as we could manage with other Scouts, I wouldn't want to risk their lives again because of Titans here. I'm grateful many others seem capable of defending themselves because of their own abilities."
Blue eyes shifted, looking down around one of the buildings as the familiar thud of Titan footsteps came near. He was no Mike and couldn't smell them, no was he Sasha who could hear them coming. But, in the long run, Erwin's instincts rivaled the best when it came to fighting Titans. He had spent more time watching them than anyone else, with the exception of Hange, perhaps. It pained him to know that the theory that they were human proved true, but just like Levi, Erwin could put that emotion aside for now to do what he had to do.
"Levi," he spoke again, nodding down to their right as the familiar Titan came into view. Nothing fancy. Ordinary Titan for now. And it didn't seem to be a horde of them.
