"Spanish," Percy repeated. That was a language, he knew that. He didn't know any of it, but he knew it was from the Europe land mass and was also spoken in places that had been settled by the people who lived in the Kingdom of Spain. He was good with languages, he was a bit of a dick when it came to pronouncing things the way they should be pronounced, so he focused very hard as Audrey repeated her name to him, echoing it back reasonably well. "Would you like me to call you Audrina? You only have to ask, whatever makes you more comfortable with yourself."
Despite being happy to take or leave his title, Percy's name was important to him, if for the only reason that it held all of the family that he had lost within it. Not just the long dead ancestors, but his father too. And if Audrey wanted to be called something different, something that tied her more firmly to her roots, then he would be glad to call her by that.
That she had been speaking about monogamy and other with someone else made Percy's eyebrows rise again, trying to think if it had come up in any conversation, and if he was somehow influenced by it. But no, that was how he had felt long before this anyway, back in Exandria, even as teenager. "I don't think I've spoken to anyone about this," he replied, wanting her to know this wasn't just some subtle ruse on his part to impress her. The frown remained as he listened and rinsed the soap from her arm slowly. "I've never experienced it any other way, and I don't think I would want to." Though as far as relationships went, Percy had racked up a whole one in his life, but he'd liked giving her all of his attention and getting it in return. That made him happy. "I- consider you- the recipient of my romantic attentions, and I have no intention of giving them to anyone else," he concluded slowly.
The idea of a one-off, or just for fun, or nothing serious- a one night stand with someone else...it made a knot of nerves twist in his stomach. But it maybe just wasn't for him. If it made Audrey happy then that was fine. He was sure they'd talk about it if the possibility for her being involved with someone else came up, though.
Percy reached for the bottle of shampoo, unphased by the promise of blood. "It wouldn't be the first time," he shrugged, squirting some into his hands and coating them both before he knelt up and started to lather Audrey's hair.
"If there are extenuating circumstances, certainly. If there's someone you just want to have sex with then please don't let me stop you. But if there are feelings involved then I would rather not be. It's best we get this conversation out of the way now, I suppose. I don't want to be your other boyfriend. At any point. So if that happens then we'll go our separate ways."
Audrey's hair was short, so it didn't take too long for him to have it lathered up, the soap a dirty brown colour from the blood mixed with it.
"But there are interesting people here, and I see the appeal of some of them. If an offer of sex is made the opportunity should be taken. Do you have something I can better use to rinse your hair? I think we'll be here for days if I try with my hands, and the water is rather dirty now."
