“Zoop,” she said inanely, breathlessly, and with a little bit of a giggle as the world came back into focus. Her hearing returned more sharply, and all she heard was stillness. That was when she raised her head, and realized that she’d atomized them in much the same way she had Ares, and she felt a little bit bad about that.
And then she turned her head and realized that Thor was unconscious at the foot of yet another building, and she winced. “Thor?” She asked, as she regained her feet. She could see him breathing, and moving, but concern was still etched on her face and in her voice as she crossed the distance between them to kneel at his side.
It was something more of a fall, given how tired she now was, but she was present, anyway. “Hey. You awake? I’m sorry. That wasn’t supposed to hit you. Did I hit you, or did she hit you? Who hit me?” Actually, any or all of those were pressing questions, but that she’d asked them all at once showed just how dizzy and out of it the expended energy had left Diana.
