If there was just a hint of sadness on her face as Thor mentioned they might never see the dragon again, that was hardly Diana’s fault, and it passed quickly. Besides, it was a pretty day, in a place that she knew reasonably well, and so far, the only danger that had been sighted had been no real danger at all. It had left quickly and with no notice of them, and so Diana relaxed a little, let herself enjoy simply being out of the hotel and far enough away from it that she could forget, for a time.
She was torn between pressing after the dragon in the other direction or following Thor, but her stomach made that an even easier decision when it spoke up. She’d had an apple for breakfast, and then wandered out to discover the hotel had moved, and forgotten to get a yogurt to go with it. “Well, I think that’s that decision made,” she said with a laugh, and she took Thor’s free hand in one of hers and continued. “I know New York, but for me, it is mostly museums and parks, and things like that. Places where I get coffee or places I like to sit at night, when the world sleeps. Mostly.”
Diana did not socialize often, and so most of the places she went and the activities she enjoyed were things that could be done alone. If she'd had to put a word to it, her life was pretty boring, actually.
