Theo started to grin, then turned to look at Gilmore with narrowed eyes. "You mean that when you turned me into a bird back there, where we could have been attacked at any moment, you couldn't defend yourself? That's...you can't do that!" His voice was equal parts annoyed and terrified, thoughts about what could have happened racing through. "I need you to stay safe. If anything happened to you..." He trailed off, not wanting to even entertain the thought. It was true that the hotel would probably have brought him back, but that wasn't at all the point.
He took a breath, held it for a moment, then let it out. "But yes. I would like to try this again when we're in much safer surroundings." He absolutely wouldn't mind flying again, if it was safe to do so. "I'll check with him when we get back then. I now minor healing spells that should work, but I'd rather have someone more familiar with them help out." His were very, very basic, and he didn't know potions that were safe for creatures like Helios.
"I hope we go somewhere tropical next, though I feel like that's just asking for some sort of sea monster," he said, then grinned at the idea of seeing Gilmore's home-world. Before he could respond though, there was a movement to the left and through a copse of trees, he could see a small group of people dressed in black robes. He could just make out their masks, and he froze. They didn't appear to take notice of them yet, still a good distance away. "We should hide until they've gone past. I can't Apparate us with Helios to the hotel, but between us, I think we can make us all invisible." He cast a calming spell, with a silencing charm just to be safe, on Helios and led him into a shadowed alley just off to their left. It was just wide enough to fit all three of them, with Helios standing behind the two wizards.
