"And it lasts for an hour each time? How many times can you cast the spell? And do you have to concentrate to keep the spell active?" Theo had an endless amount of questions about other people's magic, and not even their current situation could keep him from quenching his thirst for knowledge. "Yes, but I think like your spell the more you do it the more natural it becomes and the less focus you need each time. And that would be fun, though only until the full moon. I'm not sure how it would interact with the rituals for the Animagus transformation, and I'd rather not risk it."
Helios allowed Gilmore to pet him, leaning into the touch. His horse, it seemed, had the same taste in men as he did. Theo grinned at them both and used the time to give Helios a quick check. There were a few deep cuts on his flank, crusted with blood like he'd been clawed by something. He also seemed to be favoring the left wing a bit. Theo moved closer to inspect it and noticed that there were two long tears in the middle. Something had raked razor-sharp talons across, but they looked like they would heal.
"I think he ran into something that he didn't like or that didn't like him," he said, but since nothing was life-threatening and Helios didn't seem to be favoring any leg over the other, he started walking towards the hotel. Helios followed along, docile enough for now. "Not so much, I'm afraid, with the traveling. I meant to, but just...never got around to it. There are a lot of places I wold like to visit, however."
