"I don't have a magic wand, though," Gilmore said, amusement in his voice. He liked that Theo did have one, that it was standard practise in his world to channel their powers through wands. And he though there was probably some taboo about having someone else use your wand, so he wasn't going to ask if he could. But there was no reason he couldn't just do what he always did. "We can make some magic happen when we get back," he smiled. "And yes, a cleric is our healer, for the most part. Other people can heal, but clerics are the best at it. And bringing you back from the dead, very important skill to have."
He stopped them as they were walking, and certainly it was inappropriate, and it was certainly rather dangerous to take his eyes off of what was going on around them, but it was a wonderful moment and he wasn't going to let it go. Gilmore held Theo gently at arms length and looked him over again, his gaze heavy. "There are sparkles, yes. Brighter than they normally are when I'm not using this spell. I was just wondering-" he pulled Theo to him again, up against his chest so that he could whisper into his ear. "-I wondered if they'd be any brighter if you had less clothes on. But perhaps I'd be too distracted to notice. And yes," Gilmore pressed his lips to Theo's cheek, speaking again with them pressed there. "I was absolutely thinking of seducing you. But I suppose now isn't the time to linger on that."
Gilmore pulled back, not even bothering to tempt himself with a kiss to Theo's lips, because that would be a distraction. They should just continue as they were, just keep walking. There would be more time later.
His eyes looked up as Theo's did, seeing the shape of the dragon above them almost perfectly silhouetted by the light of the sun. "Don't worry about that one," he said gently. "Different dragons have different silhouettes. They're not all bad. I'll make you..." his first thought was a raven, but that wasn't a good idea. That was foolish. He didn't need that thought. "...a sparrow?"
Reaching out, Gilmore took Theo's face in his hands, casting polymorph on him and leaving a tiny fluttering bird in his palms. "I'll have my eyes on you, don't worry. I won't let anything hurt you," he whispered, carefully stroking his fingers over the tiny bird's feathers before he released him into the air.
