"I didn't know if mine would be arriving any time soon, so I thought I should supplement the clothes the hotel gave me with things I usually wear," Gilmore said with a shrug. "Audrey helped me find the make up I needed. It's so much better than the stuff in Exandria, but that isn't too much of a surprise, the technology here is far in advance of our own so it stands to reason." Of course, to advance their technology for the sake of having better eyeliner was probably not that economical, but Gilmore could dream.
"We won't be able to see each other if I make us invisible," he said after a moment's thought. "Perhaps it's best we go as we are for now. If you can't Apparate us I can dimension door us, or make us invisible then," he mused. "I have shield charms too." Gilmore patted down his robes, checking all the little component pouches for everything he'd need.
Looking up at the sky again, Gilmore followed the shape of the dragon, squinting to get a better look at it, which wasn't as easy from this viewpoint. "I think we're okay for the moment," he said softly, though he waved his hand and put up a detect magic spell. That as least brought as smile to his face as, beside him, Theo began to glow gently as little motes of energy danced around him. Evocation magic. It made sense.
"You're so full of magic," Gilmore said softly. "I wish you could see what I'm seeing. You're glowing." He was glad, now, that they weren't invisible. He would have been able to see the motes, but not Theo himself, and Gilmore much preferred it this way.
"So we stealth around, look for a barn- how far does your detection work? I don't think I have anything useful to help us search for him. Just my eyes. But if he's hiding within thirty feet of us I'll see him with my magic." He was sure the hotel wouldn't leave Helios behind, anyway. Wherever he was he would probably be sucked back up into it as it left again.
"Perhaps a place full of dangerous people isn't particularly ideal for a date. I do like a little bit of a thrill and adventure, as you know, but I wouldn't want us to be constantly looking over our shoulder. We can always picnic just outside the hotel doors, though. Give ourselves a nice view- in addition to the usual," he winked.
