"You know a lot more than me about what's going on," Gilmore said lightly, though it was no burden to him to not have the knowledge Theo did. He was poised to put up a barrier around them if he needed to, the magic almost tickling his fingers as he held it there. "The shopping this morning was quite good. Well, there's no one to shop from so we just picked up what we wanted and went, but it was very good nonetheless. I've never seen so much stuff." His world was not as big on the mass producing as this world seemed to be, he'd been thrilled by the vast ranges of sizes everything came in.
They passed a souvenir shop and Gilmore paused for a second, his eyes caught by the big purple 'I <3 NYC' jumper hanging in the window. The door was closed, which was a shame, but perhaps they could come back this way when they'd tracked down Helios. "I want that," he pointed to it. "I'm going to have it. Once we know your boy is safe I'm going to come back and get it," he smiled.
The park was nice, though. It was strange that it was right here, surrounded by those big, tall, glass buildings. It was peaceful because there were no other people around, Gilmore knew that, but he thought it would probably be quiet in the park even if there were. There was so much space.
"Are there any things you're particularly concerned about there being out here? Giant bugs, presumably, but anything else?" Gilmore asked, his eyes peeled for danger as much as they were enjoying their surroundings.
