Wesley was used to people calling on him and wanting to hang out. He was also used to people doing that only because they needed something from him. Money or sex were the usual reasons. He was sure Barry had only hung around him because he couldn't say no to bailing Barry out at the cash register whenever he conveniently forgot his wallet. But Barry was fun sometimes and fuck it, Wes was a lonely asshole who needed someone to keep him company so he put up with it.
Conrad, however, wasn't looking for money or sex. The blonde appeared to be honestly content with just hanging out. Every day since their first pool game, Wes waited for the other penny to drop. That he would turn around and there would be a gun to his temple. But the only thing he turned around to was another fun fact that Conrad would share with him.
He'd heard all about Skull Island but it wasn't the only thing that he'd learned about his new friend. The thing that was probably the most interesting to Wes though was that Conrad was -in fact!- from a completely different decade. He'd started using what lingo he could remember whenever they were together just to enjoy watching Conrad roll his eyes at him.
"I'm ready to boogie," Wes called out to him the second he came into the lobby. His eyes narrowed as he came closer, catching on to how dressed up Conrad looked. "Did you brush your hair?"
