Nerves. It had been a while since he actually felt his nerves on edge in the manner the new situation set. He had accepted his hallucination of Abigail in the hospital, at Hannibal’s house as he sat in the darkness and tried to piece together every step Hannibal would take or place he would go. Will had been sure that he would be waiting in the lobby for absolutely no one. He was not lost anymore, his mind sharper than it had ever been, so the person on the network using Abigail’s face either was baiting him or he had regressed into his hallucinations further than he realized. Was he still back home in his cottage away from everyone except his dogs? Was he actually in Scotland as some said? Why would he even go there? Hannibal was more than likely in Italy somewhere or Ukraine or a number of other places with that old European feel. If she wasn’t a hallucination and merely someone playing a cruel trick, they would be sorely mistaken on how he would handle it. A river would have been better than some dock off a coastline or on a lake. He didn’t much know the geography of whatever island they were on. How could he? Somehow he had made it there- if he was actually there- without any recollection of how. If he had been kidnapped like someone else thought, then- Brown curls bounced about his head as he shook off the dozen trains of thought all running at full speed toward one another. Rubbing his face with both his hands, he sighed. Exhausting was easy. All he had to do was go find whatever room they had put him in and sleep until his nightmares gave him more clues to what was happening. He couldn’t wait for a ghost. Whoever it was could be taken care of later. Turning to leave for his room, he stopped, staring at Abigail brows knit together and mouth open. "How is this even possible?" |
