Dan smiled. "I appreciate the offer, but without knowing how your abilities function... I wouldn't want to bring in anything I have locked in my mind into your safe place." For all the mild mannerisms, Dan was protective of others. He had been through enough in his life to not wish it on anyone else. The time Abra entered into his mind had nearly made him crash the car because she had not thought to give a warning; she had not understood at the time why he blocked himself so heavily. It took more work to keep all those spirits in boxes than would allow him to relax inside the mind of a friend.
"She really is. She's always been." He laughed. "She had a very good upbringing that allowed her to blossom without fear of herself. I can only hope that she keeps that forever." Maybe learn some caution on the way but not enough to feel like shutting out the world completely.
"Thank you for the pillow and the tea, but I like to allow my roommate some peace away from others. We can chat again soon." He tapped his head. "I'm always around for that."
