Diana would never need that fear again, if she stuck with Thor. He wouldn't need to protect her, no, but he would support her through anything. As far as he was concerned, they were partners at this point. Even if it never went anywhere, which he wasn't thinking about it going to begin with, shut up, he had her back. Diana was Wonder Woman for a reason, but who said that meant she couldn't have a strong man with her? He saw the change in her expression though, and it was clear he'd hit too close to home.
But then she did the sweetest thing she could and he smiled at her, squeezing her hand in his as he did. "In a way, I'm not. It's for the best. I value the time I had with her, but it's... different now. If she'd been around during the worst times, things could have gone even worse."
He'd never looked up if Jane had been blipped. He'd never had the energy or desire to. As far as he knew, the woman was still out there, doing her thing. They hadn't spoken in years and that was the best thing for her.
