It might have shocked Diana to learn that in Thor's world, it was late 2023 and the age of heroes had begun in the year she was taken from. At least, in the truest modern sense of the term. Stark and Banner had both become publicly known that year, from what Thor had heard. Other heroes had obviously come and gone over time, becoming myths, legends, or even gods, but their time was over. Time marched on, even for the longest-lived beings. Thor didn't often feel his age, but he would if he lingered on those thoughts for longer than a second or two.
"There's almost limitless possibility to explore. Even as old as I am, as long as I've traveled the realms, I don't think I understand one percent of one percent of what's out there." He assured her as he matched her movement, happy for the contact and for her attention. She was a good companion for him, he thought, whether romantic or otherwise, though he tried again to push aside all romantic notion. "And Diana, you keep me in check as well. We're a team, don't forget. Partners."
Letting her continue in her train of thought, he listened and nodded his agreement at the end, then looked down at their hands. "Is anyone waiting for you, in your world and your time?"
