Diana had never given much thought to the other planets and whether humanity might live on them. There was also the fact that she came from roughly 2008, and she had an idea that Thor was quite a bit further along than she was. And a lot of advancements could be made in ten years, so that also might have explained the discoveries that Thor’s version of Earth humans had made. Thor himself was not human, and she would do well to remember that. It seemed like such a silly thing, being able to forget that he wasn’t human, but unless he was literally glowing, he looked much the same as any other well-built human.
She nodded, but it was clear that she was only accepting this information. None of these names meant anything to her, though that was not indicative in and of itself. Still, it was becoming more and more clear that she and Thor were not from the same worlds, and that was… heartwrenching. It meant that when she left here, she would never know him again. She would never have known him in the first place, because she would not remember him.
“There is still so much of the world that I have not seen and do not understand yet,” she said softly, and with the tone of one who was awed and excited by that information, not upset. Since Thor was finished eating, she reached for his hand again, threading their fingers together and squeezing gently, reassuring him with her presence. And herself with his, of course. “I am grateful to you, for continuing to remind me of that. And so many other things.”
Diana looked somewhat embarrassed by that statement, or perhaps it was only the general embarrassment of liking a man and saying something complimentary about him, but in any case, she continued on. “That is comforting, in terms of what might be happening to the world while we relax here.”
