He huffed softly shaking his head, "I think she's always been something a little bit more than she seems." He said honestly, both from personal experience and simply knowing Elektra the way he did. He shook his head as Foggy went on, "I think she just wants to be left alone." He said his own heart aching with that knowledge. She was something more now than she'd been before yes, but she was still Elektra as far as he was concerned and knowing that things were so different between them now was a hard pill to swallow. But if that was what she wanted what could he say? He wasn't going to force the issue, not knowing the way she could lash out when cornered. "I won't let anything happen to any of you." He promised. Things might be strange between them for the time being, Matt feeling off balance the more they talked, but that much remained true, Karen and Foggy, and even Elektra were his and he wouldn't let any of them come to harm if he could manage it.
"Almost?" He asked as Foggy started working at the stove, Matt settled himself nearby, close enough to be able to help if Foggy wanted it but out of his way too while they continued talking. "What keeps it from achieving full perfection?" He wondered.
Matt nodded, talking about things like this eased a lot fo the tension he was feeling, because it didn't really mean anything. He didn't have to face the very real feelings that had settled in the pit of his stomach when Foggy had walked away from their practice, or the knowledge that maybe he could have kept it from happening if he'd just told Foggy even knowing how impossible that would have been. "I mean it's likely the only thing that would get me into space, I'll take that potential future."
