"We have lots of time to get to know each other, to tell each other everything, to learn all the good things and the bad things. And it may have felt like I lot, but I'm glad you shared it," Gilmore smiled, still toying with Theo's hand. "We can have food together, we can...there's a theatre or something here, isn't there? We can see something there. We don't have to spend all the time in your library, though I do enjoy my time here."
Theo was just- he was adorable. In the way a handsome, intelligent guy could be. "Honestly, I'm not going to like it if you find someone else either, but if this place is about what you wouldn't have in your old life, and learning and growing here, then you should. You absolutely should. As long as we tell each other things- you're being incredibly cute right now," Gilmore added as Theo bit his lip. Just- ridiculous.
He probably should have anticipated the kiss, he really should have. But there was no time to savour it, there was no time to kiss back even, and Gilmore regretted that instantly.
"More on that later," he said quietly, a promise in his voice. "You didn't give me the chance to enjoy it, so next time it's on my terms," Gilmore grinned, then rose, kissing the back of Theo's hand before he moved around the other side of the table that the broom sat on.
"We can work on this together and you can tell me about the ducks," he added, reaching across the table, gesturing for Theo to take his hands. "If it looks like I'm not paying attention I promise you I am. You can ask me questions afterwards, if I give you time," Gilmore teased. He waited for Theo to take his hands, and then started to focus on the spell he'd finally located in his book when it had arrived. "Just think about it flying, it's a bit more complicated than that, but it will help."
