Diana did not answer his question, because it would have been unwise to. She was rapidly realizing that perhaps that was her definition of winning, because they were pressed entirely too close and all she wanted was to get closer. Why did she keep putting herself in these situations? She had even gone so far as to tell herself that she needed a little space today, and yet, as soon as he’d offered to spar with her, she had come running. It was not his fault, but hers, and someday, perhaps, Diana would learn her lesson.
That day, however, was not this day, because despite not answering his first question, Diana was not quite quick enough to stop her retort to the second. “You tell me. What do you normally do once you’ve pinned a woman to a tree?” She asked, and genuinely wondered what he might say to that, because she’d have had no ideas if he’d asked her the same.
