Diana did not wear that look as often as Thor might have thought. It was only that she did not have to hide herself with him. She did not fear that he would turn from her, or find her offputting. She never had, and he had not let her down yet, not in that respect. It was why she valued him so much, so quickly. She had arrived here somewhat frightened, still hiding herself from the world and helping out in small ways, where she could. This place had been the beginning of changing that, though she knew she would forget when she left. And Thor had helped.
She did not answer him, because she was busy. Her dark eyes took in his stance, and the look on his face, but she focused on his feet. So she shifted as he did, her feet coming up as her hands went down, her leg winding around his waist and using his own forward momentum to keep him going and flip him. She barely got her legs adjusted in time, but she did. “Aw, wounded already?” She teased. Thor had wound up on his back, with Diana beside him. She had not quite dared to land on top of him again, and this fight be darned.
“This’ll be quick, then.” And she pulled her leg back to drive it into his side. The motion was meant to propel him away rather than damage, and it showed in where she placed her foot and how.
