For a moment, the rest of the world dropped away. There was only Diana, the sound of her laughter and the sparkle of her eyes. Her hair fell down again as the wind died and he found that despite what he'd thought, they were still close together, leaning on each other. Her question actually made him stop for a moment, to try to not jump to the immediate, snarky answers that came to mind. There was something real here, maybe even deep, if he bothered clawing at the inside of his own head long enough to find it.
His grin matched her own the next time their eyes met, full of that same playful energy, and left him distracted again for just a second or so more. Damn her for being so enchanting. "I would dethrone Amora and declare you the new Enchantress, if I could. And goddess? Of the quick wit and quicker reflexes, perhaps. Or of light. Yes, that one. You're like a sunbeam."
