There was always a price to be paid, in some form or another. Even Thor had come to understand that. Asgard had been the price he paid to get to where he was. His legacy had been burned to ashes. So Thor had done the only thing he could. He started over, and this seemed as good a direction to take as any.
"I see. That's... a heavy toll to extract for such power, but I see no hesitation in you. Your conviction is strong."
Thor had to admire that. Not that he would ever hesitate to do the same if it came down to it. He'd been a soldier all his life and knew his duty could one day demand such a sacrifice. Nyx appeared to have been taken in time to prevent this outcome, but would it be waiting when the man returned home? That was a scary thing to think about.
Nyx's gesture broke Thor out of his reverie and he grinned back at the other man. "A test then, something small. Let's see if I can catch you when you do that trick."
