Nyx/Thor
Honestly, it was Thor's reaction in all of it that made him laugh. I suppose, most aren't so at piece with dying like he was. When he signed up that night, there wasn't a shred of disbelief that the old kings meant what they said. He watched as the ring engulfed a man in flames for not being worthy. Those dead bastards collected their debt.
To keep it simple, he answered simply. "To get the powers to protect the people I needed to, to help the citizens of the city, and lastly- kick the ass of the traitorous bastard.." Nyx offered a low smile that showed he was accepting. "I made a deal that was supposed to be the rest of the night to fight at full tilt, full powers of the Kings, and at sunrise," Nyx looked to Thur letting his eyes do some of the talking.
"I would sacrifice my life to protect the many."
Nyx shrugged. "I'm here. Not dead and lively. I don't know if this some greater plan, or pure chance. But I have the strength in my body, and the fight in my soul- and that's more than enough for me."
Well now onto the challenge, and Nyx cocked a sideways smile while clapping the other man on the shoulder with his hand. "Thor, I have a feeling if I were to use all those abilities of mine and you use yours-" He shook his head as if it would be bad. "I would wonder if there would be any hotel left, and that just would be very bad." After all, he was pretty proficient in destroying a city. Giant statues helping or not.
