Diana looked a little pained as she took that in, and further considered Natasha pointing out that she’d been making the rounds. And she had been, that was so. She understood that these were not judgements, and especially in Natasha’s case; the other woman was more reserved than Diana in terms of interacting with new people, and that was fine. “I’m friendly,” she said, with a soft giggle, and a bit of a shrug. And she was.
She was so very solitary out in her own life because she had been told by a human, who would know them best, that humanity was not ready. Furthermore, the humans were largely unhappy and at unrest, and Diana did not want to trouble them further with the idea of beings they would be afraid of. And they would be afraid, in her opinion, convinced that Diana had come to rule them and not to help them.
So here, where that concern had been assuaged with every person she met, Diana could be friendly. She grinned when Kal pointed out that it was only a matter of time before they met back home, and she looked truly ecstatic. “Wonderful!” And not least because Diana wanted to change the way she had been living, hiding and helping in small measures, around corners and quiet. Kal had told her that he let the humans see him, in some way, and that meant she had eventually done the same. A comforting thought.
“Even so, I find myself enjoying it. I do wonder if there is meaning in it, though, if it is all to be forgotten.”
