"I do as well." He glanced out at the fire, staring into the fire for a moment. He thought he could make out shapes dancing in the flames, and smiled. Imaginary or real, it was beautiful. "I don't think we have fey where I'm from, at least not in the way you do, though we have a lot of stories." He arched a brow at the mention of summoning Frumpkin as something else. "An octopus? How does that work then, if you don't mind my asking?"
He pulled his knees up to his chest, settling in like a child listening to a story. Well, he assumed this was what it would be like to be told a story as a child. Certainly, neither of his parents had ever been the sort, but it was nice. He'd always loved to learn new things, and had mostly done so from books. Listening as someone explained about their world was different, and in some ways preferable, to reading about the same subject.
"Thank you. That's all very interesting, truly," he said, filing away the information, including the places Caleb had named. "We are not very religious where I'm from, at least in this sort of way."
