Action
Who: Hannibal and open
Where: Lobby and outside the hotel
When: Now
What: Arrival
Warnings: Murder
It was not until the moment Will pulled Hannibal off his balance that Hannibal had any idea what his friend intended to do, and as of that moment it was too late. They fell, tangled in each other's arms, Hannibal's heart so full of love for this man, even in this final act to destroy them both. It was fitting. Neither of them would survive without the other, their very souls long entwined, conjoined. So they would die together. In those precious seconds as they fell, Hannibal pressed his lips to Will's, and prepared to hit the cold water below. He opened his eyes and looked at his surroundings, the expression on his face one of mild surprise and curiosity. To say he did not expect to be in a hotel lobby was an understatement. His clothes were dry, which was curious on its own, but stranger still they were free of blood stains and bullet holes and knife slashes. He went to pick up the phone and listened to the message, then checked in on the computer. However, instead of heading for his room, Hannibal turns around and walks out the front door. It's beautiful, the lake, the trees, the sky. Hannibal doesn't know where he is or what is going on, apart from a few theories involving either the existence of an afterlife or the electrical activity of a dying brain. But he had spent years behind glass. To be out in the open like this, in fresh air that carries the scent of loam and pine, with the sun on his shoulders... He closes his eyes and turns his face to the sun and just breathes. |
