"Maybe so," Matt agreed, but he had a feeling neither one of them were the sort to be sore winners, or losers for that matter - not when it came to something like this. The playing felt like the point when Matt got so very little of that most of the time, especially now after Karen and Foggy had gone their separate ways. Well sort of, it seemed that had only been a temporary thing to hear Karen tell it, they were going to be working together again at some point in the future. But Matt hadn't gotten there yet, he didn't know how to put where he was now together with that future Karen had described.
But that was why he was there with Clint now, to stop trying to make it fit for a little while, to think about something else. To stop focusing so much on Elektra and Karen and Foggy and everything from home that had somehow managed to follow him through time and into another world.
"Believe me, I know." Matt agreed - "I mean is it really doing nothing when you're thinking in circles, that can be it's own sort of work out." Party never sleep forever sounded like exactly the kind of life Matt was about when left to his own devices so Clint was good for him. And maybe hw as good for Clint too.
And then it happened, Clint's knuckles took another hit at and a moment later the puck fit itself into the goal. "Yes!" Matt crowed both hands in the air, still clutching his mallet as he cheered his victory.
