Diana didn’t have anything planned later that day, and her roommate wasn’t particularly loud despite being deeply in love with his husband, so if all else failed, they could curl up in Diana’s bed. If they were sleeping, he would be quiet enough to take a nap. The people here tended to be respectful, and Diana found that she liked that, too.
She stopped thinking about the logistics of a nap when Thor’s mouth pressed against her forehead, and she made the soft sound, almost a whimper. Her eyes had basically been closed, with her head resting on his shoulder and her face turned toward his. It occurred to her suddenly what it would look like if someone else came into this room, but Diana found, for once, that she didn’t care what it looked like to anyone else. She felt peace, and she was keeping it.
“We’ll give it a try, and I bet both of us get some sleep. And we’ll both feel better for it.” She returned the favor he’d given and pressed a soft kiss to his jaw, his beard tickling her nose and making her smile.
