She stood by her original thoughts on his smile, bright and happy and entirely too pleasant to look at, but she didn’t look away this time. She simply smiled back and enjoyed the companionship and company, something she hadn’t had in a long, long time. “So we should plan to hang out right before bed and let that buy some time?” She asked, because it was the only other thing she could think of besides simply sharing a bed, and while she was not at all unwilling, she wasn’t going to be the one to make the suggestion.
“You could certainly be onto something there. They’re certainly a lot easier to ignore when you’re around.” Diana grinned, and squeezed his knee gently, much the same way she had with his hand earlier in the morning.
