That smile and those hands were a hazard more dangerous than any artifact placed in the mortal realm, and Diana would’ve staked her life on it in the moment that she’d had to turn and walk away. And was it any wonder, considering where Thor’s hands had fallen as they’d collided. Also, why the heck was she so darn clumsy all of a sudden? At one point in her life, she had impressed Barbara so much that she’d made an unwise wish to become the villainness Cheetah (more or less) and now Diana couldn’t even help someone up without banging into them.
“I thought I would be too,” she remarked softly, and she followed his lead, keeping her eyes on his. Or at least, she tried, but his eyes weren’t any less distracting than his bare chest, which she learned when they fell away from his face and then out into the pool, because at least the water didn’t make her feel hot all over. “But I’m glad I’m not.”
In looking away from him, she had leaned a little closer to his side, and her hands fell to her lap as she kicked idly in the water. “Hopefully sleeping will improve with time. I have still been here less than a week, and there are some who have been here six months or more.” Diana bit her lower lip, considering that for a moment, and cocked her head to the side.
