As Diana talked about a few of the people from her world, Natasha listened in silence as she sipped her vodka. Though she was far more human than Diana, years of training had built up a resistance that it would take a great deal more than what was in front of her to get her intoxicated, not that tonight was really a night that she'd need to drink that much. No, she'd save any 'drinking games' for evenings with Thor instead, this was just two women who weren't so dissimilar in skillsets sitting together and talking.
"It's good that you have people you know here, or who are at least from the same place. Some here have no one, and they've had to build their friendships from the bottom up without much more in common than being caught on this island." As she lowered her glass again, Natasha looked back over at Diana, studying her with some curiosity in her gaze, and genuine interest.
"Do you mind if I ask where you're from?" Oh, subtlety was certainly a spy's bread and butter, but there was something to be said for bluntness, as well, and for direct questions. While Nat had often been patient about finding out information in the past, she always preferred to get to the heart of the matter, when she could, and hoped that Diana would oblige her curiosity.
