"I'm sure that many of them would appreciate it, either way." Because despite what some of the younger residents felt, or the ones who were more likely to keep to themselves believed, there were times when nearly everyone needed some sort of connection, some moment of peace, to hold onto - and Natasha genuinely appreciated the fact that there were others there who could give that when needed. It was easy to tell that Diana was a generous person, but the Russian just wanted to urge a little prudence when necessary. "For others, pushing them too far one way or another may not end well," she cautioned, before lifting her glass for another sip from her drink.
As for adjusting, well, Natasha could understand that too and gave a sympathetic nod. There were more than a few people who'd been thrown completely off balance when they had been told about the way things were here, and all any of them could do was support one another when it happened. Sometimes, simply being present was all that one really needed.
Her lips curved into a soft smile at Diana's words about Thor, and she lifted her vodka to salute her absent friend. Like all of the rest of the Avengers who'd remained after that battle with Thanos, the past five years hadn't been easy, but particularly for him. Natasha was glad that the Asgardians had managed to settle on Earth for the time being, and she wondered how they were now, after their return - which she knew had happened. Pushing aside that train of thought for the time being, she returned her attention to Diana once again.
"And you? Do you have friends or family - people from your world - here in the hotel?" Natasha asked it gently, and while she honestly was curious about the woman and wanted to know if she had a ready-made support system present, her ultimate goal was to learn more about her - particularly since she was spending time with Thor. She could always ask John - and would, of course - but sometimes you learned more by hearing it from the subject themselves.
