Caduceus hummed quietly with the touch to his ear. It was a newly discovered pleasure for them both, apparently. Caduceus had never had his ears touched in any way that wasn't familial affection, and to have it done by someone he cared deeply about in another way had unlocked a whole new feeling. And despite being the one to initiate their parting, encouraging Caleb towards the bed, his touch lingered as long as it could until the other man was beyond his reach.
He pulled his robe more firmly around himself, stepping towards the hand that beckoned to him. It had taken some getting used to, kissing. The pleasure of it and knowing that he could do it unbidden, without asking, and that it was welcomed every time. Caduceus kissed back slowly, just a tease of what they might have later, before he settled onto the bed too, passing Caleb his soup first.
"What were you working on today?" he asked at length, once he was sure the other man had eaten a good few mouthfuls. Much of what Caleb devoted his time to here was rather beyond Caduceus' understanding, but that was never going to stop him from asking. What he couldn't grasp he would just file away for another time, but he was always supportive. He didn't need to know what it all meant to know that Caleb was doing a good job, and that it was making him happy. That was all Caduceus wanted.
His own day to day work was little more than tending to plants and watering the graves, a shadow, a bare replication of what he had done back in the grove, but it pleased him and there was nothing else to do but whatever they wanted.
"If there are any bits you'd like changed, any improvements, let me know. If I'm cooking for you then I want you to have everything you want."
