It was just really nice being able to be close to someone. Caleb absorbed human contact like a sponge but he had so rarely received it. It had never been the right time for him. Even the idle flings of his youth had been stifled, not allowed to come to full bloom. But all they had here was time and Caduceus was terribly skilled at bringing things to bloom. He saw no reason not to give himself over fully to this new, wonderful thing. Besides, it seemed a shame to withhold this from himself, or from Caduceus, when they both seemed to enjoy exploring it together.
His hands ran over the fur across Caduceus' stomach, only just loosening his hold as his friend turned and pulled him up into a kiss. "You could be less presentable, and I wouldn't mind," he shrugged, leaning up into the soft kisses. But he had no doubt that he would enjoy himself, especially when it was all so nicely spread out and smelled so good. As he was steered towards the bed he was, again, overcome with the thought that this was just for him. All the effort. The comfortable set-up. It genuinely made him feel loved and that was something he had been chasing after most of his life. Funny how he ended up finding it in the most unexpected place and the most unexpected way.
He leaned back against Caduceus when he came up behind him again, reaching up into his hair and drawing his nails softly down along his long, soft ears. "It doesn't matter if it's proper Zemnian or not, because you made it. It's yours. That just makes it special in a different way," he said, breaking away at last to go and settle himself on the bed. He took off his shoes first, then unwrapped the bandages around his arms and laid them aside, before drawing his legs up and crossing them. "It's wonderful," he said. "It really does look wonderful. Come here," he reached out his hand towards Caduceus again, rocking softly forward onto his knees, and drew him down for a proper kiss. He could verbalize his thanks so much, but this worked much better.
"Alright. Sit, sit. Let's eat," he said, and pulled Caduceus down next to him.
