In this instance, Diana didn't need to guess. She just knew, even if she wasn't aware of that fact. She was the first in a very long time to tell him he meant something, beyond his utility or his legacy. How very Diana of her, not that he knew that yet, but she was so soothing for him. She was the beauty who could tame the beast, so to speak, and that little smirk as she thought of her meme went by in a flash before she was pressing into him again. His hand slipped out of hers and he let his arms curl up around her, protective as before. Before he could stop himself, he found he was leaning down just a bit.
"Thank you, Diana." He said with such sincerity, and found that he'd planted a kiss on the top of her head, where her hair parted. It was a simple gesture, but one that he'd remembered other women liking in a moment like this. Diana pulled away before he could gauge her reaction and tugged him along though, which gave Thor an excuse to start moving, to get his mind thinking of anything else.
"A happy memory? I've many. Let's see..." He thought back to so many moments in his long, long life and decided on one of his favourites. "When I first joined the Guardians, they found me floating in the void of space after the... incident with the remains of my people. They took me in, and almost immediately we gained a rapport. The captain, a man called Quill, is... silly. That's the word for it, I believe."
He started to crack a smile, then a laugh as he continued. "The crew looked to me for a moment, as we tried to form a plan and Quill, insecure as he was, tried to assert his dominance in a very human way. Imagine a man smaller than yourself trying to copy my voice, acting like a child and getting his whole crew laughing. I should add that his crew includes a talking tree."
