If Diana thought the idea had validity, maybe it wasn't so far off base. She seemed intelligent, smarter than Thor at least. He thought about it for a bit as well, letting his thoughts fill the silence so the ghosts wouldn't do it for them. Evidently, Diana's ghosts were a lot less malicious than Thor's, but he could live with that. All of this was just a theory anyway, but if they were projections in his mind, they could be overcome.
"I should like to meet this Kal, eventually, if he's the man you claim he is. We need more good men. The world does."
Why had he bothered to say that? It was a genuine thought, but Diana didn't need to be told that. Thor felt his face go red and hot as his embarrassment came, then passed just as quickly. What was it about Diana that made him react this way? Why try to impress her? Oh, right. Demigoddess and the only real friend he'd had here so far.
"Likewise. Nothing will happen, but who better to watch my back than the only one who could defeat me?"
