The punch came up faster than Bruce was expecting, but not with much force. The girl screamed and he let her go, taking the hit on the cheek. He'd had far worse and she was scared, understandably, once he calmed himself down. Realising he'd had an episode, or rationalising it that way at least, Bruce looked down at the girl, expression softening. "Sorry, sorry. Look... I just... Showed up here. Can you tell me what's going on? Where are we? What's your name?"
He had so many questions. Already, he was looking for clues to put together some kind of solution, but nothing seemed amiss. Shit. Where was Zatanna when she was the most useful? If this was some kind of magic, it was right up her alley. He could understand the basics, but it was beyond him for the most part. Bruce took a step back away from Cassie, careful not to bump the counter behind him, and when he glanced down to meet her eyes again, he saw the bat symbol on his chest.
It was hard to stifle the groan that followed. He was outed at last.
