Grass kicked up all around Diana's feet and in the lingering wetness on it, she went sliding. Morning dew hadn't completely evaporated yet, leaving some wiggle room for things to not just stop when they hit it. As Diana hit her kneeling position, Thor was grinning from ear to ear, looking at how majestically she took the hit and the steady, unwavering trail of dirt and torn up grass that marked her path. It was two straight lines. No deviations, no dips or unevenness. Diana had brute forced the block she'd made, impressing Thor beyond what she even knew. Then she was coming at him again, just as excited as he was and maybe more so.
"I can. Can you handle it?" Thor countered as Diana went low. She'd telegraphed herself just a bit, giving Thor the time he needed to pull his legs up, not quite jumping but also dodging her. One leg shifted back when he landed, steadying himself. He wasn't much of a hand-to-hand fighter, but he could grapple. Wrestling, in the traditional sense, was a sport he knew well. These Amazons, her people, were Greek by culture and she likely had similar training, so it would be a gamble.
Thor chose to roll the dice. He took the fight to the ground, laughing the whole time as he tried to lock Diana's arm and prevent her from moving.
