Theo looked up, eyes wide at being caught. "Oh. Well." He could feel the back of his neck grow warm. "It was supposed to be...dinner." He was beyond horrified that anyone had to witness his complete failure, but he supposed it was his own fault. He could have cast a repelling charm on the door to keep people out. Though would it have even worked on a public space? He wasn't sure the ghosts or the hotel would have allowed it. Something to think about when he wasn't faced with a crisis.
"Duck confit. In retrospect, I should have started with something...simpler." The recipe hadn't seemed too difficult. In theory, it should have been no more complex than Pepper-up. In practice...it had been more like Wolfsbane. "Um...I'm sorry. You probably want to use the kitchen. Let me just..." He trailed off because he still wasn't sure where to start tackling the mess. "Clean up."
