Clark considered her words - that she didn't have to be known to help, and he supposed he world under that same sort of idea in some ways. Superman didn't really exist in the world except when he was helping, the rest of the time he was Clark Kent, mild mannered reporter. It was difficult sometimes to understand where the line was between them, and at time Clark wasn't sure there really was one. Not in the way that it might have been easy to assume. "Maybe it is safer, I normally wear a suit when I'm being open about what I can do." He explained, "Other times I'm just like the rest of them." The humans. "But I think it's important that they know I'm there." If only because it gave people hope.
It's what he was meant for in many ways, not just to be strong and stop bad things from happening as much as possible, but to show people there was reason for hope. Not just in him, but in the world. Clark wasn't the only hero in the world, and he wasn't a hero just because he had powers, there were heroes who were nothing more than human and he could only hope that they continued to do what they could to make their shared world a better one, just the same as he did.
She was probably right, one of them should stay on the ground if they were going to test the upward boundaries of this place. Just in case. "Okay, do you want to stay down here? Or should I?" He asked, ready to do whatever she preferred. "If something happens the other can step in." Though Clark didn't know what exactly might happen if they tried this - would he come out the other side of some forcefield and find himself right back in the middle of the anti-matter cloud that had been consuming the multiverse? Or would it do some damage to this place? He couldn't even begin to guess.
