"Maybe so," Peter agreed, cheering when Diana got a second goal, "I think that's part of what makes us human, you know?" He said with a shrug of his shoulders, flipping some of his little players back and forth for a moment in thought, "We can't be perfect, we can't always be good or peaceful, it's just not what we are." Even Peter had struggles with anger and frustration and knew that he was very far from the kind of peaceful human that Diana had mentioned they could have been at some point in the past. "But you know there are always people who are trying." They fell short more often than not, but the trying was the important part.
Diana was interesting, for someone who clearly had a lot of feelings about mankind and her role in the world, she was opening to hearing more, to having a discussion about it. And considering everything happening in the hotel right then, it was nice to focus on a real conversation rather than letting himself obsess over maybe ghosts and the lack of lights or anything else for a little while.
He laughed, "You say that now, but just wait for the day when foosball turns out to be the key to the world's salvation." He couldn't imagine that ever truly coming to pass but the idea was too hilarious not to at least consider, especially as Diana attempted to remain stoic before she too cracked.
