Oh, Diana was most certainly an ally. Almost painfully so, in fact. She’d never seen a situation she didn’t want to help, but that was a good thing. And she was able to help in most situations, which was another good thing. Something to be grateful for. And perhaps this was her way of helping, pushing young Peter into figuring out how they all fit together. Of course, she was being less than helpful, actually, since she’d given him almost no information, but it was a start. A path to walk, in a sense.
“Unfortunately, this seems to be a situation where we are to wait and see what happens. I can think of no other real goal at the moment. Particularly with the power out,” she said with a shrug, and for a moment she looked just a bit helpless. And why shouldn’t she? After all, her very first time off the island, she had literally helped to stop a war and defeated a God. There had been things to accomplish, steps to be taken. A clear path to walk, which Diana very much preferred.
And really, despite being the daughter of a God, she had been raised as an Amazon. They had been charged with the purpose of helping Mankind, a duty that Diana took very seriously. Of course she preferred a clear path. That look faded fairly quickly, though, and was replaced with her typical sunny disposition, despite the gloom of the situation and the room. “Perhaps we’re just all going to get along fabulously. Wouldn’t that be a lovely reason?”
